Jerusalem, the eternal capital of Palestine, is experiencing the most dangerous era in its history, the Hamas leader Ahmed Atwan stated.

In a press release, Atwan called for foiling the Israeli schemes aiming at imposing new reality in Jerusalem during the so-called ‘Jewish holidays’. 

Atwan added that the Israeli Occupation is trying to impose a new reality in Al-Aqsa Mosque after taking over the political guardianship of the Holy City.

He noted that the Israeli Occupation is planning to spread its Talmudic narrative about Jerusalem by imposing its curriculum on the Palestinian children living in the Holy City.  

He warned of the repercussions of the Israeli plans to judaize Bab al-Rahmah ‘Gate of Mercy’ in Jerusalem.

He hailed the Palestinian people in Jerusalem for standing steadfast in the face of the Israeli Occupation and fighting in an imbalanced long-running battle at the Israeli judicial, legislative, executive, and security institutions.     

Atwan urged for a unification of the popular, official, Arab, and Islamic efforts to support the Palestinians in Jerusalem at all levels.
