The Israeli extremist Zionist organizations repeatedly call for breaking into Al-Aqsa Mosque and celebrating their religious festivals by desecrating the mosque that is a holy site for Muslims. As we, in Hamas, see these violations of the Israeli settlers who perpetrate them with the protection of the Israeli Occupation Forces, Hamas stresses on the following points:

1. The escalating pace of the Israeli settlers’ storming into Al-Aqsa Mosque reflects the occupations’ plan to impose hegemony and promote the Israeli narrative in a bid to divide the holy site spatially and temporally in order to facilitate full dominance of the Israeli settlers over it. These acts go in parallel with the Trump administration's project known as ‘the deal of the century’ that substantially target the eternal capital of Palestine, Jerusalem, without any consideration to its significance for Muslims and Palestinians.
2. We warn the Israeli Occupation that it would stick to this aggressive approach and Hamas holds it responsible for any escalation resulted from such attacks. Al-Aqsa Mosque is a red line Muslims and Palestinians cannot stand still before its desecration. Similar acts are enough to ignite a new conflict, and the occupation has to learn from the past.
3. Hamas calls on the Palestinian people to fulfill their responsibility and defend the eternal capital of Palestine, Jerusalem through their existence in the mosque and fighting off the Israeli settlers’ storming into it fiercely.
4. Hamas calls on the Arab and Muslim states and masses to express their outrage over the Israeli Occupation’s violations against the Islamic holy sites. They are reminded that defending Al-Aqsa Mosque is an honor no one gets easily.
5. Hamas stresses that the protection of Al-Aqsa Mosque is a religious and national obligation that  Palestinians and Muslims cannot abandon. We will never hesitate about defending Al-Aqsa and maintaining its sanctity at any price.
