Head of Hamas Political Bureau Ismail Haniya offered condolences to Indonesia’s President Joko Widodo after the severe earthquake and tsunami that had hit the Indonesian Island of Sulawesi.
In a letter of condolence, Haniya said, “We, in Hamas, received the news of the massive earthquake and tsunami that had hit Sulawes and left hundreds of victims and severe damage to the buildings and public properties with great pain and sorrow.”
The Hamas top-leader expressed his sincere commiserations to the victims’ families and the Indonesian people wishing a speedy recovery for the wounded.
Haniya also voiced Hamas’ complete solidarity with Indonesia and its people, as well as with the residents of the Indonesian island of Sulawesi.
Haniya hoped that Indonesia could overcome the consequences of such a natural disaster wishing it a future of stability, security, and prosperity.
