Chairman of Hamas Political Bureau Khaled Mishaal revealed Hamas's vision for getting out of the current Palestinian crisis, which is based on a comprehensive national dialogue in order to adopt a common strategy for confronting the Israeli occupation.

In a press conference in Doha on Monday, Mishaal said that holding the Palestinian National Council PNC unilaterally causes great damage to the Palestinian cause and deepens the internal rift, calling for postponing the intended session until national consensus is reached regarding PNC convention.

Mishaal stressed the importance of convening PLO’s provisional leading body immediately, in any Arab capital, and demanded a national unity government to be formed in order to run national affairs with a spirit of consensus and partnership until elections are held.

Calling for a comprehensive national dialogue to agree on a common strategy to resist the Israeli occupation, Mishaal stressed the need to implement reconciliation agreements as has been agreed upon previously.

"We want to be partners, and to renovate our national institutions in order to confront the Israeli occupation, settlement, Judaization, aggression on Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa, foil the Israeli occupation's scheme of Al-Aqsa division, lift the siege on Gaza, free the prisoners, address the issue of refugees and bear the responsibilities of all our national files at home and abroad for the benefit of our people and our cause." Mishaal added.

In another Context, Mishaal noted the seriousness of the Israeli attempts to divide Al-Aqsa mosque, confirming that such division cannot be tolerated and will never be allowed to pass.

He called on the Palestinian people and resistance factions to activate all forms of resistance and exert every effort possible to protect Al-Aqsa mosque.

Responding to questions from the press, Mishaal said that Hamas has received many proposals regarding stabilizing the ceasefire with the Israeli occupation, but nothing has materialized yet.

“What Hamas wants is to resolve Gaza problems, lift the blockade and provide a decent life for our people in the Gaza Strip.” He remarked.
