Member of Hamas Politburo Musa Abu Marzouq penned a message via his twitter account to the Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas urging him to stop blaming Hamas and to alleviate the plight of the Gaza Strip immediately.
Abu Marzouq’s message reads, “A piece of advice to President Abbas! Instead of making accusations against Hamas that it is captivating the Palestinian people in Gaza, is supporting the ‘Deal of the Century’, and is turning a blind eye to the the people’s suffering in the strip, you should rather do the opposite! You should solve the problems of the Gazans: electricity, water, salaries, and blockade. Just implement the reconciliation agreements you have signed. Let the Gazans feel that you are with them. Light a new lamp instead of blowing out the remaining candle.”
Abu Marzuq communicated his message following the PA’s threats and allegations after the UN had transferred Qatar-donated fuel to the only power plant in the Gaza Strip, where people have electricity on average for four hours a day, without Abbas’ approval.
