Head of Hamas Politburo Ismael Haniyeh delivered a speech at Rowad Bait al-Maqdis (Visitors of the Holy City of Jerusalem) Conference held in Istanbul, where he stressed that the issue of Jerusalem and Palestinian unites together all Muslims and free people of the world.

During his speech, Hanyia confirmed that the Palestinian reconciliation is the Hamas’ top priority and the movement would never change this viewpoint.

He also reiterated the movement’s rejection to the ‘Deal of Century’, urging all free people worldwide to fight off this deal, which aims to liquidate the Palestinian issue and deprive the Palestinians of their legitimate rights.

He added that one of the objectives of the Great Return March is fighting off the occupation’s schemes against the Palestinian people, especially in the Holy City of Jerusalem.

The Hamas Chief stated that the movement spares no effort to break the crippling blockade imposed on the Gaza Strip by the Israeli occupation for more than twelve years, and among these efforts are talks with different players to reach a truce with the Israeli occupation.

“Currently, we work with different parties such as Qatar, Egypt, and the UN to put forward some understandings in a bid to hammer out a ceasefire with the Israeli occupation, without any political price and not at the expense of the Palestinian unity; our responsibility is serving the Palestinian people a decent life”, said Hanyia

Hanyia concluded his speech by reaffirming that Hamas would never make any concessions on the Palestinian rights and that Hamas, along with the Palestinian people, enjoys the right to resist the unlawful occupation.
