A senior delegation from the Egyptian Intelligence is currently meeting the Head of Hamas Political Bureau Ismail Hanyia in Gaza.

The delegation is headed by the Deputy Intelligence Minister Ayman Badie and the Major General Ahmed Abdulqader and the meeting agenda includes the Palestinian reconciliation, ceasefire talks, and international humanitarian aid to Gaza.

After the scheduled visit of the Egyptian officials was abruptly called off yesterday, the Egyptian Intelligence Minister Abbas Kamel assigned Ayman Badie to head the Egyptian delegation and pay a visit to the enclave in order to discuss the aforementioned points.

Hamas has already declared that the Egyptian visit is a continuation of previous meetings held both in Cairo and in Gaza.

The delegation also will work on deescalating the ongoing tension in the Gaza Strip on the heels of the Israeli threats that they are going to launch a new aggression against the coastal enclave if the Palestinians do not stop the Great Return March along the Gaza eastern borders.
