The Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas mourns the death of the former Field Marshal Abdel Rahman Swar al-Dahab, who passed away in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on Thursday.

Swar al-Dahab dedicated his life to serve his people and homeland as a political, religious, and humanitarian figure.

The former marshal, who was known for his honesty and integrity and for being moderate, had also been a supporter of the Palestinian cause.

Hamas profoundly grieves for the death of the Islamic and international icon and extends its sincere condolences to his family and relatives.
