On the 30th Friday of the Great Return March, the spokesperson of Hamas Fawzi Barhoum stated the following:
The massive participation of the Palestinian people in the 30th Friday of the Great March of Return was a response to the Israeli threats against Gaza, which have prompted the Palestinian masses to flock to Gaza’s eastern borders demanding their rights.
This participation has proved that the Palestinian people will not be deterred by any threats and that they are capable of defying the Israeli arrogance and foiling the aggressive Israeli policy towards Gaza and its residents.
