The Hamas Chief Ismael Hanyia and a number of Hamas officials met with a high-profile Egyptian delegation today in Gaza

Headed by the Major General Ahmed Abdulkhaleq who is the person in charge of the Palestinian affairs in the Egyptian Intelligence, the delegation arrived the Gaza Strip this morning and held a meeting with Hamas as a continuation of previous ones.

Hamas discussed with the senior delegation several issues, above all the ceasefire agreement with the Israeli occupation and the Palestinian reconciliation.

Being the second in less than one week, the visit of the Egyptian officials reflects that Egypt pays special attention to the Palestinian issue and highlights their keenness to ease the dire humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip.

Hamas hailed the Egyptian endeavors to alleviate the difficult humanitarian situation in Gaza and thanked Egypt for placing the plight of Gaza as a priority in their agenda.
