On the heels of Israeli Knesset’s approval of a law to stop the family visits of the Palestinian detainees, the spokesperson of Hamas Hazem Qasem stated the following:

The endorsement of a law by the Israeli Knesset to deprive the Palestinian detainees held in the Israeli jails of their right to family visits is an abhorrent violation of all human rights and legal norms.

This law is a continuation of the occupation’s policy to psychologically pressure the Palestinian detainees and it will fail to break their steadfasness.

The law, furthermore, reflects the Israeli occupation’s brutal demeanor against the Palestinian detainees. Indeed, it will enhance the resistance's endeavors to release the Palestinians detained in the Israeli jails.
