Member of Hamas political bureau Izzat al-Resheq stated that the storming of Al-Aqsa Noble Sanctuary and the Qebli Mosque by Israeli occupation settlers and soldiers, is a dangerous escalation against Al-Aqsa and the Islamic holy places.

In a Facebook statement on Sunday, Resheq said that storming and desecration of Al-Aqsa Mosque by Israeli Minister of Agriculture and settlers, under protection and support of the Israeli occupation army, is a war crime, and aims at perpetuating the occupation's scheme to divide Al-Aqsa mosque.

Resheq added that the occupation’s schemes against Al-Aqsa Mosque will not pass, and will be toppled by the Palestinian people's steadfastness and the prayers' presence in the mosque.

Resheq hailed the role of prayers and worshippers, who keep presence in Al-Aqsa mosque and defend it against Israeli assaults.

Resheq denounced the weak stands of  the Arab and Islamic countries as well as the Palestinian Authority, noting that such positions do not rise to the size of the crime against  Al-Aqsa, inviting them to act quickly and support Al-Aqsa Mosque as well as the Islamic holy places in front of the Israeli aggression.

On the same topic, Hamas spokesperson Hussam Badran stated that today's aggression, the second of its sort in the history of the occupied city, is an escalation that will be met by a Palestinian escalation.

Badran confirmed that the continuous attacks on Al-Aqsa put the whole Palestinian situation on the verge of an expolosion in the face of the occupation, stressing that the organized and regular Zionist calls for storming Al-Aqsa will be met with immense Palestinian rage.

Dozens of worshipers and prayers were injured Sunday morning after the Israeli occupation soldiers fired stun grenades, gas grenades and rubber bullets during the Israeli storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque and Alqebli mosque.
