Commenting on the Israeli law to deprive Hamas detainees of family visits, the member of Hamas Political Bureau Musa Dudin stated the following:

The Israeli attempt to endorse a law that deprives the Hamas detainees in the Israeli jails of family visits is an abhorrent violation to the international law and human rights that guarantee family visits to all detainees in custody.

Hamas calls on the United Nations and international organizations to intervene against this move, as the ruling coalition in the state of the Israeli occupation uses such procedures to get political gains amid a state of confusion suffered by the Israeli government over its failure to release the Israeli soldiers captured by the Palestinian resistance.

This unfair law would not pressure the Palestinian resistance. It just reflects the ‘fascism’ of the occupation and its attempts to legitimize its crimes against the Palestinian people and the detainees held in the Israeli jails.

Hamas stresses that the easiest way to release the Israeli soldiers captured in the Gaza Strip is giving in to the resistance demands to achieve a “prisoner swap”.

Finally, the resistance movement extends its regards to the Palestinian detainees in the Israeli jails and hails their families who are the spearhead of the Palestinian resistance.
