The Hamas spokesperson Fawzi Barhom stated the following:

The Israeli bombardment on the beleaguered Gaza Strip is a dangerous aggression which serves Israeli parties’ rivalry agenda. It is also an attempt to export the Israeli internal crises to the Palestinian people in the coastal enclave

The new aggression, moreover, reflects the Israeli attempts to evade re-enforcing the 2014 ceasefire understandings with the Palestinian resistance, which entails ending the Palestinians’ suffering in Gaza and lifting the Israeli siege on the impoverished territory.  

The latest Israeli attack on Gaza will set the mechanisms to deal with the Israeli occupation, as we will not stand idly by while the Israeli occupation continues to target unarmed protesters and the resistance’s infrastructure to fuel the Israeli parties’ rivalry and export internal crises to Gaza.
