The Head of Hamas Political Bureau Ismail Hanyia has sent a letter of condolences to the Indonesian President Joko Widodo on the heels of the tragic Lion Air plane crash.

“We, in Hamas, received on Monday the news about the plane crash off the island of Jawa that resulted in 189 victims with deep sorrow and pain,” Hanyia said in the letter.

The top Hamas leader extended his deepest condolences to families of the victims and the Indonesian people.

Hanyia expressed his full solidarity with Indonesia and its people, wishing them a future of security, stability, and prosperity.
