The head of Hamas Political Bureau Ismail Haniya received on Tuesday an Egyptian delegation, led by Gen. Ahmed Abdel Khaleq, the General Intelligence Directorate’s chief of Palestinian affairs, in his office in Gaza.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed a number of issues concerning the Palestinian cause including alleviating the difficult humanitarian conditions in the beleaguered Gaza Strip.

Earlier in this month, many Egyptian delegations have visited the Gaza Strip and met with Hamas top officials; Tuesday’s visit is a continuation of previous ones.

Hamas hailed the Egyptian efforts  and thanked Egypt for placing the Palestinian reconciliation and Gaza’s plight as a priority in their agenda.
