The massive, popular participation in the 33^rd Friday of the Great March of Return along Gaza’s eastern borders came in response to the smear campaigns targeting the unity of the Palestinian people, Hamas spokesperson Fawzi Barhoum said.

In a press release, Barhoum added that the Palestinian people are determined to continue their struggle against the occupation.  

The Israeli occupation forces killed a Palestinian and wounded 150 others, 40 of whom with live ammunition, during their participation in the popular, peaceful protests at Gaza’s eastern borders, the Palestinian Ministry of Health reported late Friday.

The slain Palestinian was later identified by Gaza’s health ministry as Rami Wael Ishaq Qahman, 28.

The Qatari ambassador to Gaza, Mohammed al-Emadi, visited the Great Return March’s encampments set up along Gaza’s eastern borders on Friday.
