The Hamas Chief Ismail Hanyia accompanied by a high-profile delegation from Hamas visited the Qatari ambassador to Palestine Mohmmad al-Emadi to see him off before leaving the Gaza Strip.

The top Hamas leader extended his heartfelt thanks to the government and people of Qatar. He also lauded Qatar for its efforts exerted to serve the Palestinian people their basic rights and to alleviate the dire humanitarian conditions in the Gaza Strip.

The Hamas leader also expressed his appreciation to the Qatari ambassador for his endeavours to break the 12-year suffocating siege imposed by the Israeli occupation on the coastal enclave.

He concluded by thanking Qatar for the developmental projects the Qatari government plans to implement in the Gaza Strip and for the Qatari grant that is being distributed to the people of Gaza.
