The Israeli offensive forces continue their massive bombardment on the Gaza Strip targeting many residential areas and leaving fatalities among civilians.

Since yesterday evening, the Israeli air forces have struck several civilian facilities including Al-Aqsa TV Channel,  Al-Amal Hotel, and at least six civilian buildings, let alone the dozens of homes that were levelled to the ground in spite of being located in densely populated areas.

The striking fact in this wave of Israeli violence is the massive destruction of civilian locations and residential areas. It seems that the occupation has run out of military targets, thus struck only a ‘bank of civilian ones’.

The Israeli bombing of civilian buildings has resulted in the displacement of dozens of Palestinian families and turned them homeless, which constitute a blatant violation against the Fourth Geneva Convention and the International Humanitarian Law.  

One of the dwellers of al-Yazhi building that was demolished down to the ground in a predawn Israeli airstrike named  Dr. Adnan Al-Wahidi wondered, “Why did the Israeli occupation destroy my home? There are no military actions here. If I knew there was, I would not have stayed here for one single day."

Meanwhile, Hamas movement condemned the Israeli systematic and calculated blatant offensives against the Palestinian citizens and their properties, demanding the UN to conduct an international investigation into the Israeli violations.  

“An independent probe into the atrocious Israeli crimes should be declared right now and Hamas is ready to provide all proofs of the Israeli crimes against humanity”, Hamas said in a press release.

The death toll of civilians has risen to at least six and the number of causalities has hit more than one hundred, in addition to dozens of traumatized kids and women.

The Ministry of Health in Gaza said that the number of victims is expected to rise as many civilians have sustained serious injuries and are in critical conditions.
