The Hamas parliamentary delegation has held several meetings with South African official and non-governmental organizations during their visit to South Africa.
The Palestinian parliamentarians have received a warm welcome form the South African officials and people.
The meeting with the representatives of the NGOs was attended by Solidarity with Palestine Forum, Activists for Palestine, Labor Union, Islamic Judiciary Council, and Awqaf International.
Dr. Zahhar briefed the institutions on the dire conditions that the Palestinian people have been experiencing in the Gaza Strip, the West Bank, Jerusalem, and refugee camps outside of Palestine.
The parliamentary delegation also highlighted many issues during the meeting including the difficult humanitarian conditions in Gaza and the enormous suffering of the Palestinians wounded by the occupation forces or detained in the Israeli jails.
The Palestinian parliamentarians stressed that the wounded and detained Palestinians should be supported for the great sacrifice they have made for the sake of their freedom.
The representatives of the African NGOs, in turn, reiterated their solidarity with the Palestinian people, noting they wish that the Palestinians would get their freedom.
Furthermore, they stressed that boycotting the Israeli occupation is an important tool to support Palestine and to promote the Palestinian narrative.
