A delegation from Hamas met with the leadership of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine (DFLP) in the Biuret-based headquarter office.

The visiting Hamas officials were Husam Badran, Salah al-Bardawil, Zakria Muamar, Ahmad Abdel Hadi, and Mashoor Abdel Halim.

During the meeting, both sides discussed the Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people and the possible ways to repulse it. 

They called for taking Palestinian, Arab, and international measures that go beyond mere condemnations, after the US and Israeli Occupation stepped up their efforts to liquidate the Palestinian cause.

Both groups reiterated the role of the Palestinian resistance in defending its people and pressuring the Israeli occupation to lift its 12-year siege on Gaza.      

The two resistance movements reaffirmed their rejection of any resolution condemning the Palestinian resistance or delegitimising the Palestinians’ right to resist the occupation, noting that the failure of the US draft resolution is a triumph for the Palestinian people and a defeat for the US policy.

They called for prioritizing the national concerns when tackling the internal issues reiterating that the national unity is necessary to fight off the US-backed Israeli schemes targeting the Palestinian cause.

Regarding the Great March of Return, the two parties reaffirmed their support for the popular, peaceful protests and called for improving its means.

They noted that the Great March of Return is a natural response to the US-Israeli policies towards the Palestinian national rights. 

Both sides warned against the accelerating wave of normalisation with the Israeli Occupation highlighting that they condemn any normalisation activities with the occupation.

Concerning the conditions of the Palestinian people in Lebanon, the two groups confirmed that they were keen on preserving the security and stability in Lebanon and called on the Lebanese government to support the Palestinian people at the economic and social levels.

They reiterated the need to boost the bilateral relations in a way that best serves the Palestinian people and contributes to a unified Palestinian strategy to counter the US-Israeli plans threating the Palestinian cause.
