The United Nation declared the International Human Rights Day on December 10, 1948. Since then, the Israeli occupation has been perpetrating terror acts and ethnic cleansing against the Palestinian people. Furthermore, it has been confiscating the Palestinian lands and properties, judaizing Jerusalem, and depriving the Palestinian people of their basic rights.

Meanwhile, the Israeli occupation has never suspended its schemes to liquidate the Palestinian cause and rights exploiting the ultimate support of the biased US stances.

After 70 years of The Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the Israeli occupation still turns a blind eye to all international laws and principles that protect the human, civil, and political rights of the Palestinians.

Particularly, the Israeli occupation tightens the siege imposed on the Gaza Strip since 2006, and murders defenseless protesters at the Great Return March who demand their freedom, dignity, decent life, and lifting the siege.

Accordingly, the UN and all affiliated bodies including the General Assembly and Security Council along with all free people of the world should shoulder the responsibility of holding the Israeli occupation accountable for its abhorrent crimes against the Palestinian people, land, and holy places.

On this occasion, Hamas hails all peoples, nations, and parties that support the rights of the Palestinian people, above all the right to resist the occupation.  

We are looking for an unwavering support by boycotting the Israeli occupation at the political, economic, cultural, and academic levels. The occupation should be isolated regionally and internationally in parallel with mobilization of support for the Palestinian freedom struggle against the Israeli occupation until the people of Palestine gain their rights to freedom, return to their hometowns, and independence.

Amid all of these challenges, Hamas stresses that all the Palestinian groups and factions should put forward a unified, comprehensive vision and a national strategy that restore the national unity and protect the Palestinian people from all threats, above all the “Deal of the Century”.
