“The disarmament of Palestinian resistance is not up for discussion during the reconciliation talks,” member of Hamas Political Bureau Mahmoud al-Zahar

The senior Hamas leader stressed that his movement is keen on achieving the national unity on the basis of Cairo agreement and the outcomes of Beirut agreement.

During a public meeting in Lebanon’s Bekaa, al-Zahar confirmed that the Palestinian resistance is ready to defend its people against any future Israeli aggression.

“Any foolish act committed by the Israeli Occupation will be met with an in-kind response from the Palestinian resistance,” al-Zahar added.

The Hamas leader reiterated the Palestinian people’s right to resist the occupation until their demands are met, above all the return of the Palestinian refugees to their homeland.
