The Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas vehemently denounces the Palestinian Authority’s violent crackdown and atrocious attack on the Palestinian masses protesting the Israeli aggressive policies and crimes against the Palestinian people in the West Bank.

In a press release, Hamas spokesperson Fawzi Barhoum said, “Such atrocious assault on the Palestinian protesters reflects the PA’s disregard to the sacrifices made by the Palestinian people who are subjected to the violence and terrorism of Israeli Occupation forces and settlers.     

Barhoum added that quelling the peaceful protesters mirrors the PA’s complicity in the Israeli crimes against the Palestinian people and encourages the Israeli Occupation to continue perpetrating more atrocities against the Palestinian civilians.

The Hamas spokesperson noted that the PA’s crackdown on the Palestinian demonstrators should prompt all segments of the Palestinian people to assume their responsibility towards such serious violations.

Barhoum reiterated the necessity to put an end to the double standard policy aimed at abolishing the Palestinian people’s right to resist the occupation.
