Commenting on demolishing the home of Abu Hamiad family in Al-Ama’ari Refugee Camp, the member of Hamas Political bureau stated the following:

The Israeli policy of home demolition would neither crush the will of the Palestinian people nor dissuade them form continuing their freedom struggle against the Israeli occupation. The story of Abu Hamaid family, whose home has been demolished three times so far by the Israeli occupation, exemplifies the determination of the Palestinian people to uphold their rights and resist the Israeli occupation.

The owner of the home, Um Naser Abu Hamid, has become a national icon: while five of her sons are detained in the Israeli jails and one murdered by the Israeli occupation, she keeps making great sacrifices and is determined to resist the illegal occupation.

The Israeli attempts to score empty victories by flattening the Palestinian homes are doomed to failure, as the Palestinian people enjoy a strong will to defend their homes and embrace the option of resistance.
