The head of Hamas Political Bureau Ismael Hanyieh said that the Hamas vision to handle the current situation is made up of four points, the first of which is achieving the Palestinian unity immediately.

In his speech at the Festival of Hamas 31^st Anniversary, Hanyieh declared that the movement is prepared to ‘go to the furthest extent’ in order to restore the Palestinian unity, form a national unity government, and hold the general elections after three months.

“Let us set a date for the general elections. Let us make it after three months. We are prepared to implement 2011 reconciliation agreement,” Hanyieh added addressing Fatah leadership.

The second point in the Hamas vision was halting the security collaboration with the Israeli occupation in the West Bank.

Holding a comprehensive meeting for the Palestinian factions is the third step in Hamas vision.

Hanyieh said that he is ready to meet the Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas to agree on some agenda and a national strategy to manage the Palestinian situation.
‘Let us hold the meeting in Egypt, the capital of all’, Hanyieh said.

Hanyieh pointed out that the fourth aspect in the Hamas vision is boosting the movement’s ties with the Arab and world countries to mobilize support for the Palestinian issue.

Meanwhile, the top Hamas leader indicated that Hamas 31^st Anniversary comes at the end of a year full of achievements.

He clarified that Hamas has scored many victories in the previous year including steering the Great Return March consensually, defending the Palestinian people against the Israeli aggressions through a joint operation room, compelling the former Israeli War Minister Lieberman to resign after the Israeli forces’ failure in Gaza, and blocking the US attempts to condemn the Palestinian resistance at the UN General Assembly.

Hanyieh concluded his speech by thanking all the Arab and world countries which support Palestine.

‘I thank Egypt, Qatar, Iran … and Kuwait for siding with the Palestinians’ said Hanyieh.

Last Sunday, hundreds of thousands of the Palestinian people gathered in al-Katiba Square to celebrate the Hamas 31^st Anniversary.

The huge number of Palestinians at the festival highlighted that the Palestinian people support the resistance in spite of the suffocating siege imposed by the Israeli occupation since 2006 and the dire humanitarian conditions in the coastal enclave.
