The Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas condemned on Wednesday the Palestinian Authority’s arbitrary arrests of Palestinians across the West Bank.

In a press release, the member of Hamas Political Bureau Husam Badran called on the Palestinian factions and human rights groups to pressure the PA to stop its politically-motivated arrest campaign and release all political prisoners.

Badran noted that the PA security forces detained 60 Palestinians in a large-scale arrest campaign across the West Bank.

The Hamas leader reiterated his rejection to the PA’s “dangerous move, which serves the Israeli Occupation’s interests,”  when the Palestinian people need unity to fight off the challenges and Israeli and US schemes aimed at the Palestinian claims to Jerusalem and the Palestinians’ national rights.
