Hamas condemns PA decision to withdraw its officers from Rafah crossing
The General Commission for Civil Affairs in Ramallah declared that the Palestinian Authority officers at the Rafah Crossing, the main terminal for Gaza residents to the world, would stop working from Monday morning.
Commenting on this decision, the spokesperson of Hamas stated the following:
The decision taken by the Palestinian Authority to withdraw its officers from Rafah Crossing hits hard the Egyptian endeavours to achieve the Palestinian reconciliation.
Upon this move, Abbas goes on with his policy aimed to isolate the Gaza Strip from Palestine. In addition, he overrides the reconciliation agreements signed in Cairo and complicates the Palestinian situation.
