Press release on PA’s release of Palestinian guilty of property transfer
The Palestinian Authority’s move to release Esam Aqel, who pleaded guilty to transferring Palestinian properties to Israeli settlers, is a national crime against the Palestinian people and their properties.

Hamas spokesperson Fawzi Barhoum stated the following:
The Palestinian Authority’s move to release Esam Aqel, who pleaded guilty to transferring Palestinian properties to Israeli settlers, is a national crime against the Palestinian people and their properties.
The PA’s move requires all segments of the Palestinian people to hold those responsible for Aqel’s release accountable for their involvement in stealing Palestinian properties and transferring them to the Israeli Occupation.
Hamas holds the PA President Abbas and Palestinian PM Rami al-Hamdallah responsible for misprision of a felony and freeing Aqel.
