Member of Hamas Political Bureau Husam Badran called late Monday on the Palestinian Authority to release the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine (DFLP) official Wadah Zaqzouq immediately.

In a press release, Badran condemned the ongoing political arrests of national figures by the PA security forces after the Palestinian factions extended their hands to reconciliation and national partnership.

“It is shameful that these arrests are carried out under the pretext of ‘provoking sectarian differences,” Badran added.

Badran confirmed that the PA’s political arrests of Palestinian figures were aimed to crush dissent at the political, economic, and social levels.

The Hamas leader called on all sides to press the PA to release all political prisoners in its jails.
