Member of Hamas Political Bureau Mosa Abu Marzouq described on Wednesday the government being formed by the Fatah and Palestinian Authority as “Vichy government.”

In a tweet, Abu Marzouq condemned remarks made by Fatah officials in which they state that Hamas wasn’t invited to participate in the Palestinian Liberation Organisation government.

“Who said that Hamas will participate in the coming Vichy government that lacks national consensus,” Abu Marzouq said adding that Abbas’ move aimed to deepen the internal division and pave the way for the “Deal of the Century.”

The PA President accepted late Tuesday the resignation of the national consensus government, led by PM Rami al-Hamdallah, but ordered it to continue "conducting business until the formation of a new government."
