On the invitation of the Palestinian Democratic Gathering to hold the Palestinian general elections, Member of Hamas Political Bureau Husam Badran stated the following:

The Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas welcomes the invitation of the Palestinian Democratic Gathering to hold general elections in Palestine.

The movement stresses that it fully supports holding general elections supervised by a national unity government that is formed consensually.

In addition, Hamas reiterates that it is ready to cooperate with all the Palestinian factions and parties in order to get over the political crises and the disappointing performance of the Palestinian national project.

Finally, the movement reiterates that it is ready to participate in a comprehensive national dialogue that would be held unconditionally. It also stresses that it rejects monopoly of power and unilateralism by some Palestinian factions under whatever pretext.
