A US-led Middle East Conference in Warsaw serves only the Israeli interests in the region, Hamas spokesperson Hazem Qasem said.

In a press release, Qasem added that the US administration was seeking to integrate the Israeli Occupation in the region at the expense of the Palestinian people’s rights.

Qasem expressed Hamas' concern over the Warsaw conference, noting that viewing Iran, instead of the Israeli Occupation, as the foe of the region would deepen  divisions in the Middle East.

The Hamas spokesperson indicated that the US-sponsored conference was part of a US-Israeli bid to “pass the “Deal of the Century,” adding that the conference is a “pro bono service to Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu.”   

Representatives from dozens of countries, including Arab states, participated in a two-day meeting in Warsaw that focused on Middle East’s political issues.
