The decision of Israeli Occupation government to withhold from Palestinian funds highlights the bullying policy adopted by the Israeli Occupation against the Palestinian people, Hamas spokesperson Hazem Qasem said.
In a press release on Monday, Qasem added that the PA’s “soft speech and policy” towards the Israeli violations encouraged Netanyahu’s government to commit more crimes against the Palestinian people.
Qasem regretted that the Israeli Occupation’s move was preceded by the al-Hamdallah-led government’s decision to cut salaries of Gaza-based families of Palestinians killed or arrested by the Israeli Occupation.
The Hamas spokesperson called on the PA to take ‘peaceful steps’ to fight off the Israeli policies by ending security collaboration, lifting its sanctions on Gaza, abandoning its unilateral policies, and putting into effect the agreed-upon reconciliation deals.
The Israeli Occupation will trim $138 million of tax revenues collected by the Israeli authorities on behalf of the Palestinian Authority.
