Answering a question about rumors that the Egyptian authorities are restricting the movement of Hamas chief who is on a visit to Egypt, senior Hamas official Khalil al-Hayya stated the following:
Hamas Chief Ismail Haniyeh is conducting meetings with Hamas Abroad's officials in Egypt and he is performing his duties from Cairo. Today, Hanyieh met with Egyptian officials to follow up agreed-upon points.
In addition, an external tour, outside of Egypt, was not on Haniyeh’s scheduale. He is going to return to Gaza this week.
