Head of Hamas Political Bureau Ismail Haniyeh stressed on Thursday that the case of the four Palestinians missing in Egypt was thoroughly highlighted during the Cairo talks.

A group of armed men attacked a bus for Palestinian travelers on August 2015 and abducted four Palestinian civilians who were on their way to Cairo airport.

In a press release, Haniyeh described the outcomes of the Hamas-Egypt talks on the case of the four Palestinian civilians missing in Egypt as the ‘most important’.

A Hamas delegation, headed by Haniyeh, arrived in Gaza via the Rafah crossing on Wednesday evening after a 24-day visit to Cairo.

On February 3, Haniyeh, accompanied by a delegation of senior Hamas officials, left Gaza for talks with Egyptian officials on various political issues.

In a previous statement, member of Hamas Political Bureau Khalil al-Hayya said that his movement’s visit to Cairo had achieved its objectives.
