Member of Hamas Political Bureau Khalil al-Hayya said that the Egyptian officials who brokered the understandings about breaking the Israeli siege on Gaza are observing the Israeli stalling on implementing the agreed-upon understandings.

In a press release, al-Hayya said that Egypt prepares for a ‘serious round of talks’ with the Israeli occupation to alleviate the Gaza Siege.

“We appreciate the continual Egyptian efforts and we are prepared to give them a chance to pressure the Israeli occupation to lift the Gaza blockade,” he added.

The senior Hamas official described the relations between Hamas and Egypt as strategic, noting that they are developing day by day.

He also added, “We appreciate the efforts exerted by the Egyptian brothers to bring the four Palestinians [who were abducted in 2015 in Egypt] back home.”

Al-Hayya concluded that the occupation must remove the Gaza blockade or the Great Return March will continue as a form of peaceful resistance.
