Hamas official Salah al-Bardawil said that the Hamas delegation to Cairo had put forward three proposals concerning the Palestinian reconciliation during its latest visit to Cairo.

In a press release, al-Bardawil added that Hamas suggested holding the Provisional Leadership Framework of the Palestinian Liberation Organisation (PLO) to discuss ways to heal the internal division and restore the national unity.

Al-Bardwail stressed that the delegation proposed holding a meeting for the five major Palestinian factions, including Hamas, Islamic Jihad, Fatah, PFLP, and DFLP, to find ways to implement all understandings and agreements agreed upon by all factions.

The delegation suggested that  Cairo would host a national, popular conference where a thousand national figures would participate to discuss the tense Palestinian situation and come up with recommendations to end the internal rift and restore the national unity, al-Badrwil continued.

Al-Bardawil noted that Egypt welcomed the three proposals put forward by Hamas.
