PA arrests 12 Palestinian civilians in West Bank for their political views

The Palestinian Authority-affiliated security forces detained on Tuesday 12 civilians in a large-scale arrest campaign across the occupied West Bank. 

Journalist Amer Abu Arafa was detained after dozens of PA security forces stormed his house in Dora, south of the West Bank city of Hebron.    

Some 35 PA security officers searched Abu Arafa’s house and confiscated his laptop, cell phone, and cameras, according to the family members.

The PA forces also detained Saqr Abu Aram, Muhammed Adais, Nour al-Qadi, Abdul Rahman Hameedat, Mujahid al-Hoor the ex-detainee Mosaab al-Hoor and summoned Maroof Abu Fara for interrogation.

In a raid on Bethlehem, the PA security forces arrested Basim Hamood, whose brother was banished from the Church of the Nativity and deported to Gaza. They also arrested Yousef Adawi in another raid.

The PA forces also detained Mohammed Awad from the West Bank city of Ramallah and Mohammed Ashor and the ex-detainee Faris Sabana from Jenin.
