Head of Hamas Political Bureau and the Higher Coordination Committee of the Great Return March received a delegation from the Egyptian Intelligence today in Gaza.

The Egyptian delegation was headed by Chief of the Palestinian Affairs in the Egyptian Intelligence General Ahmed Badee’.

Meanwhile, Head of Hamas in Gaza Yahya al-Sinwar conducted meetings with the delegation yesterday and today morning to discuss the Egyptian endeavours to break the Israeli siege imposed on the Gaza Strip.

Both sides had talks about the possible ways to lift the Gaza siege and the ceasefire understandings. They also discussed stopping the Israeli violations in Jerusalem and the Israeli aggression against the Palestinian detainees held in the Israeli jails.

The Egyptian delegation briefed Hamas and Palestinian factions on the progress made concerning these issues.

Hours before the Egyptian delegation's meetings with al-Sinwar, the Egyptian delegation, accompanied by security officials in Gaza, visited the Rafah crossing to follow up work and identify problems facing Palestinian travelers.

The security officials briefed the Egyptian delegation on work mechanisms at Karm Abu Salem border crossing as well.

Following the visit, both sides held a meeting to discuss facilitating the movement of Palestinian travelers into or from Egypt.
