On forming a new cabinet by Abbas without Palestinian national consensus, Hamas spokesperson Fawzi Barhoum stated the following:

The new  government formed without consensus reflects Abbas’ unilateralism and monopoly of power. He also evades the previously signed reconciliation agreements, prepares for separating the Gaza Strip from the West Bank, and widens the Palesnian division.

Hamas stresses that it does not recognize this separatist government because it was formed without national consensus.

The best way to reorganise the current Palestinian situation is forming a unity government and holding the Palestinian general elections: presidential, legislative council, and national council elections.
