Chairman of Hamas Political Bureau Khaled Mishal phoned on Saturday the Russian Deputy Foreign Minister and Special Presidential Envoy for the Middle East and North Africa Mikhail Bogdanov, and briefed him on the crimes and violations the Israeli soldiers and settlers commit against people in Palestine.

Mishal explained that Jerusalem's uprising was sparked by the Israeli cold-blooded murder of Palestinian women and children, and by the Israeli-imposed division of Al-Aqsa mosque and the relentless Judaization of Jerusalem.

Mishal noted the role the Russian Confederation can play in the international arena, calling on Russia to exert more effort to pressure the Israeli occupation to stop its violations and crimes against the Palestinian people and the Islamic holy places.

For his part, Bogdanov expressed his discontent with what is happening, and promised Russia will exert efforts on the issue.

Mishal-Bbogdanov call comes as a part of the former’s efforts in communicating with Arab, Islamic and international parties in light of the Israeli escalation against the Palestinian people as well as the Islamic holy places in Jerusalem, mainly Al Aqsa Mosque.
