Commenting on the assault on Fatah official Atif Abu-Saif, member of Hamas Political Bureau Khalil al-Hayya stated the following:

Hamas condemns the assault on Fatah official and spokesperson Atif Abu Saif on Monday 18 March and calls on the Ministry of Interior to prosecute, expose, and punish the perpetrators of this crime.

Meantime, Hamas deplores all remarks and hasty accusations made by Fatah officials that hold Hamas or Gaza’s security forces responsible for this unacceptable incident.
