The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) at dawn Tuesday detained the senior Hamas leader and prominent anti-occupation activist Hassan Youssef after they broke into his family home in the central West Bank province of Ramallah.

ِAt least 20 Israeli army jeeps cordoned off the family home in Beitunia suburb near Ramallah shortly before they kidnapped Youssif.

Hassan Youssef, 61, is a prominent Hamas leader and anti-occupation activist in the West Bank, and was arrested for over 15 times. He had served 20 years at the Israeli occupation jails, and was lastly released in June after he had been incarcerated for nearly one year in Israeli lock-ups.
