Commenting on killing a Palestinian civilian by Israeli occupation forces in the West Bank camp of al-Dhaisha, Hamas official Abdel Hakim Hanini stated the following:

Hamas mourns the death of the Palestinian civilian Sajid Mizher who was shot dead on Wednesday dawn by the Israeli occupation forces in al-Dhaisha camp.

The Palestinian people enjoy the right to self-defense and thus are entitled to fight against the Israeli aggression in the West Bank, as per the international law.

On the other hand, the Palestinian people prove that the option of resistance is the only path that leads to ending the occupation and stopping the Israeli violations against the Palestinian lands, detainees, and Jerusalem.

We are very confident that the Palestinian people will continue resisting the occupation with all means possible.

Hamas sends its sincere condolences to Mizher’s family and calls on all segments of the Palestinian people to attend his funeral and express their solidarity with his family.

Hamas also calls on international organisations to take necessary measures that would stop killing civilians at the whim of the Israeli occupation forces. They have to prosecute the perpetrators and hold them accountable for their crimes against civilians.
