Hamas spokesman Hussam Badran confirmed that the Israeli detention of Hamas leader and PLC member Sheikh Hassan Yousef is a hopeless attempt to break the spirit and steadfastness of the uprising Palestinian youth in West Bank.

Badran stressed that the history of Palestinian struggle proves that the current attempts by the occupation to end the intifada through raids and arrest campaigns will end in utter failure.

Badran said that the occupation has used all its cards against the angry crowds, noting that orders to demolish houses of Palestinians who carry out attacks has backfired and triggered more operations.

Badran saluted the Palestinian people and their support of resistance, calling for more unity in the field against the occupation and settlers.
