Hamas official Husam Badran stated the following:
Hamas movement rejects normalisation of ties with the Israeli occupation at the official or personal levels. Normalisation is a crime in national terms, immorality in ethical terms, stupidity in political terms, and cowardice in manly terms. Indeed, normalising ties with the Israeli occupation is a stab in the back of the Palestinian people.
