On the Israeli violations against the Islamic holy places in the West Bank, Hamas official Abdulrahman Shadeed stated the following:

The Israeli attacks and breakings into al-Aqsa and the Israeli decisions to close Al-Haram al-Ibrahimi Mosque highlight that protecting and guarding the Islamic holy places in the West Bank are top national and Islamic priorities in order to maintain their Islamic identity.

In addition, the repeated attempts by Israeli ministers to storm into al-Aqsa accompanied by dozens of security forces are  clear-cut proofs that the Netanyahu’s government sponsors extremism. Indeed, the best way to fight off the Israeli attempts to impose a new reality at al-Aqsa is resistance.

Hamas calls on the Palestinian people at al-Aqsa to guard the holy site, given that the previous Israeli attempts to impose a new reality in Jerusalem and Hebron have failed due to the Palestinians’ determination.

We call on Jordan, the Arab League, and Organization of Islamic Cooperation al-Aqsa to assume their responsibility towards al-Aqsa through putting an end to the Israeli violations against the holy places amid the constant closures and banning the ‘call for prayers’ at al-Ibrahimi Mosque and at different holy sites.
