Member of Hamas Political Bureau Salah al-Bardawil said Saturday that preparations were underway to form the High National Committee to face off the “Deal of the Century”, which is due to be presented in early June.

In a press release, al-Bardawil added that the committee would include members from Gaza, the occupied West Bank, the diaspora, and Arab and Islamic parties, as well as the free people of the world.

“We shouldn’t panic as if the ]US-drafted[ deal is inevitable,” al-Bardawil continued, stressing that the Palestinian people are capable of fighting it off.

Al-Bardawil called for combating normalisation between some of the Arab regimes and the Israeli occupation.

Regarding the Great Return March, al-Bardawil called for activating the popular resistance and moving the popular protests to the occupied West Bank.

The Hamas official urged the Palestinian Authority to scrap the Oslo Accords and end security collaboration with the Israeli occupation, “which is part of the Deal of the Century.”
