Commenting on the demolition of the home of the Palestinian martyr Omar Abu Lila in the occupied West Bank, Hamas stated the following:

The ongoing home demolition policy reflects the Israeli occupation’s failure to dissuade the Palestinians in the occupied West Bank from resisting the occupation. 

We salute Abu Laila's family, specifically his mother who stood on the rubble of her home and stressed that the Palestinian people would continue resisting the occupation.

Hamas calls on the Palestinian people to express solidarity with Abu Laila’s family.

We stress that the Palestinians in the occupied West Bank will continue to exercise their right to defend themselves and resist the Israeli occupation.
